Archbishop of Goa and Daman greets Muslims on Eid-ul-Fitr

Panaji, Oct 24 (UNI) Archbishop Filipe Neri Ferrao of Goa and Daman today extended his greetings to the Muslim brethren on the occassion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

''May this festivity, that reinforces values like peace, self-control, sacrifice and charity, help us all to appreciate and thank God for all his bountiful gifts, celebrate our mutual fellowship and promote inter-cultural and inter-religious understanding,'' he said in his message.

This will enable us to join hands together for the construction of a new society in Goa, characterised by a general spirit of sincere collaboration and harmonious living, he added.
