Bhubaneswar, Oct 25 (UNI) India's low cost airliner Air Deccan today announced a flight service between the temple city of Bhubaneswar and New Delhi via Raipur from November 20.

Announcing the decision to introduce the flight at a news conference here, Air Deccan Principal Sales and Marketing Manager S Sridharan said an Airbus 320 with 180 seats would be deployed to serve the routes for which the booking would commence shortly.

He said Bhubaneswar besides emerging as industrial, commercial and IT hub of the state, has also another attraction of having more than 500 temples and projected as a significant pilgrim destination in the country.

Mr Sridharan said Air Deccan had already connected Bhubaneswar with Kolkata by two direct flights and now with the introduction of daily flight to Delhi and Raipur, more travelers would enjoy the benefit of travelling by air at cheapest price.

He said the company would soon initiate dialogue with the Orissa government for entering into a promotional tourism package as the state has the potential of attracting more domestic and foreign tourists every year.

The low cost air link by the Air Deccan would now provide the much needed connectivity at low cost to the scores of the people travelling to Bhubaneswar for business as well as tourist purposes, Mr Sridharan remarked.
