104th feast of Saint Parumala to be observed

Kottayam, Oct 25: The 104th feast of Saint Parumala Thirumeni would be observed with several programmes and elaborate arrangements had been made for the programme, Malankara Orthodox Syrian Church leaders said today.

Addressing a press conference here, Parumala Seminary Manager Christaphorus Ramban, Trustee P C Abraham, Church secretary Alexander Karackal and other leaders said the Catholicos Baselios Marthoma Didymus I, Catholicos designate Paulose Mar Milithios and other Metropolitans would lead several programmes. The pilgrim week as part of the feast would start with the hoisting of flag by senior Metropolitan Geevarghese Mar Osthathios. Free medical camp, youth meet and other programmes would also be held as part of the celebration.

State Finance Minister T M Thomas Issac, Ministers N K Premachandran, T U Kuruvila and Mathew T Thomas would address various sessions.

KSRTC would operate special service to Parumala from different centres, they added.
