Yamunotri Dham closes for winter season.

Dehradun, Oct 24 (UNI) Yamunotri Shrine ,one of the four Dhams situated in Uttaranchal, was closed for the winter season today amid vedic rituals.

Yamunotri shrine situated at a height of 3,235 mtr from sea level was closed at 1300 hrs after traditional rituals and recitation of mantras in the presence of mandir purohits, administrative representatives and devotees in large numbers, Jyoti Prasad Uniyal Yamunotri Punda Samiti Spokesperson said. The Doli of Devi Yamuna took off for Yamuna Mandir at Kharsali where it would be worshipped in the coming six months, he said.
