Two held over theft of England captain's boots
LONDON, Oct 24 (Reuters) Two men have been arrested on suspicion of trying to steal the boots of England soccer captain John Terry last week, police said today.
The men, in their 20s, are accused of entering Chelsea's changing rooms after their 1-0 home victory over Barcelona in the Champions league on Wednesday.
''We can confirm we are investigating an allegation of burglary at Stamford Bridge,'' a London police spokeswoman said.
The men were arrested in a ''non-public'' area of Chelsea's ground in southwest London and taken to a nearby police station.
They have since been released on police bail.
The spokeswoman said the boots had since been recovered and reunited with their owner.
