Sri Lanka A register 1st innings lead of 172 runs over Orissa
Cuttack, Oct 24 (UNI) Sri Lanka A bowlers Upul Chandana and Dhamika Prasad bundled out hosts Orissa for 212 by capturing three wickets each on the second day of the three-day practice match played at the Barbati stadium here today.
Orissa conceded a lead of 172 in the Ist innings but Sri Lanka A did not enforce the follow on and instead opted for batting practice.
Resuming on their overnight score of 356 for six, the visitors were all out after adding only 26 runs.
Jehan Mubarak who was not out on 115 added only two more runs before returning to the pavilion.
For Orissa Sanjaya Satpathy emerged as the most successful bowler claiming five wickets for 95 runs.
The Orissa batsmen failed to tackle the spin of Upul Chandana who took 3/38.
Test discard S S Das was the highest scorer for Orissa with 65 followed by Haladhar Das on 46.
