Sena offers 'Bhaubeej' gift to the widow of a farmer in Aurangabad

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 24 (UNI) Shiv Sena today offered a 'Bhaubeej,' gift to the widow of a farmer, who committed suicide at Shingi village in Gangapur tehsil in this district.

Sena leader Diwakar Raote, accompanied by party's district Chief (Rural) Ambadas Danwe, today met the family of Ms Parvatabai Dashrath Ghate, whose husband had committed suicide by consuming pesticide about six months ago.

The farmer had debt burden of about Rs 60,000 and was unable to repay it to the land development bank, Mr Danwe said.

The 'Bhaubeej' comprising of a saree, cloth-piece, cash of Rs 5,000 and sweets along with a letter from Sena Supremo Balasaheb Thackeray, was presented to Parvatabai by Mr Raote, who had recently toured most part of the Vidarbha to extent similar kind of assistance from the Sena.

Mr Danwe alleged that the victims family have not received any financial assistance since last six months.
