ONGC emerge PSPB Billiards champs

Bangalore, Oct 24 (UNI) Rajiv Khel Ratna Awardee Pankaj Advani's imaculate unfinished break of 190 powered defending champions ONGC blanked arch-rivals Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) 2-0 to emerge champions in the 3rd PSPB Inter Unit Billiards Championship held at KSBA here today.

While Pankaj thrashed former national champion Devendra Joshi 201-14, his partner Saurav Kothari, with his best break of 129 unfinished, defeated current national Snooker Champion Manan Chandra 201-134.

With today's results ONGC has emerged team champipons in all the three editions of the event.

Results: (Finals) ONGC beat BPCL 2-0 (Sourav Kothari bt Manan Chandra 201-134, Pankaj Advani bt Devendra Joshi 201-14).

Semi Finals: ONGC bt IBP 2-0 (Sourav Kothari bt Bose 200-14, Druv Sitwala bt Geet Sethi 201-15); BPCL bt Oil India 2-0 (Manan Chandra bt Saikia 200-99, Devindra Joshi bt T C Das 201-33).
