Naidu wants elite to take active part in politics

Hyderabad, Oct 24 (UNI) Senior BJP leader M Venkaiah Naidu today exhorted the elite in the country to play a more active role in politics.

Addressing a group of elites in the city, he urged them to enroll themselves for elections to the Legislative Council which was being revived in Andhra Pradesh after a gap of 20 years and enter the Upper House to initiate serious debates on various issues.

It was of no use if the educated kept away from politics and complain about criminalisation of politics, he opined.
