Kochar of ICICI Bank to replace Gupte after her retirement on Oct 31

Mumbai, Oct 24 (UNI) As Lalita Gupte, Joint Managing Director of ICICI Bank Limited, retires on October 31, Board of the bank, which met here today, has approved the name of bank's Deputy Managing Director, Chanda Kochhar, to look after international banking along with corporate banking.

The Board placed on record its recognition of Kochhar's contribution in the growth of the Bank's retail business under her leadership, a bank release here today said.

Dr Nachiket Mor, Deputy Managing Director, will continue to look after rural banking and global principal investments and trading.

Also, the V Vaidyanathan, Senior General Manager, has been elevated as Executive Director on the Board, subject to the RBI approval and of the shareholders at the next general meeting.

Similarly, several other appointments have been approved by the Board.
