Heavy rains likely at Tamil Nadu, Kerala

Pune, Oct 24 (UNI) Day temperatures were appreciably above normal in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Konkan and Goa, coastal Andhra Pradesh, coastal and south interior Karnataka, above normal in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya, Jharkhand, Telangana, Rayalaseema and Kerala.

They were appreciably below normal in west Uttar Pradesh, Jammu, Haryana, Punjab and north Rajasthan. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Night temperatures were appreciably below normal in some parts of Orissa and east Uttar Pradesh, below normal in Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttaranchal. They were appreciably above normal in Kutch, some parts of Rajasthan, Gujarat region and were above normal in Srinagar, Saurashtra and some parts of Madhya Pradesh. They were normal over the rest of the country.

Heavy rains are likely to occur at most places in Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Lakshadweep.

Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at a few places in Rayalaseema, coastal Karnataka, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and at isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Uttaranchal, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south interior Karnataka.

Mainly dry weather will prevail over Assam and Meghalaya, West Bengal and Sikkim, Orissa, Jharkhand, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan, Gujarat state, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada and north interior Karnataka.

Heavy rains have occurred at most places in Tamil Nadu.

Very light rains have occurred at isolated places in east Madhya Pradesh.

Rain or thundershowers have occurred at most places in Lakshadweep and at a few places in Kerala and at isolated places in Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

Mainly dry weather prevailed over west Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Chattisgarh, Gujarat, Konkan and Goa, Marathwada, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Karnataka.
