Haryana all out for 269 against J&K; Sameer scalps 6 wickets
Srinagar, Oct 24 (UNI) A splendid bowling performance by pacer Sameer Ali helped Jammu and Kashmir bowl out Haryana for 269 runs in the first innings of their under-22 C K Naidu Trophy league match being played at the Sher-i-Kashmir cricket stadium here today.
Electing to bat after winning the toss on a pitch that helped fast bowlers, Haryana suffered early blows as Ali scalped three out of the four crucial wickets with scorecard reading just 40 runs.
At lunch, the visitors were 104 for 4. However, Hemant Bansal and Chandrapal Saini consolidated the innings and scored 70 and 33 runs respectively to take the total score to 269.
For home team, Ali took six wickets while Adil Misgar two, Mohammad Mudassir and Sohit Khajuria took one each.
In reply, Jammu and Kashmir were 23 for two at stumps with Asif Rasool and Rohit Bhat batting on 12 and two respectively. For Haryana, Sanjay Badhwar and Saini took one wicket each.
