Haryana Agri Marketing Board launches website
Chandigarh, Oct 24 (UNI) The Haryana State Agricultural Marketing Board today launched its website (www.hsamb.gov.in) for the benefit of the farmers and the traders.
The website was inaugurated at Panchkula by Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Chatha stated that the website would be put to multifarious uses for the benefit of farmers and traders all over the world. He hoped farmers would benefit from the website as they could access prevailing marketing rates in Haryana for different commodities through it.
He informed that the website contained all information regarding marketing infrastructure, Marketing Act, Rules and By-laws in the state. All the schemes launched by the Board for the betterment of the farmers had been displayed on the website including the list of progressive farmers of the state.
This website, he said, would also provide all information regarding the construction activities being undertaken by the Board such as enlistment of contractors, complete tender documents and DNITs of the works for the information of the general public.
He added the Board was also planning to introduce on-line tendering system. The detail of plots available in the mandi and the procedure for their allotment was also available on this website, he said.
