Former Utkal University VC chargesheeted

Bhubaneswar, Oct 24 (UNI) Former Utkal University Vice-Chancellor Pandav Nayak and former Controller of Examination B C Guru were chargesheeted by the orissa vigilance for alleged irregularities in printing of question papers and mark sheets.

According to a press release issued here today by the Vigilance Department Mr Nayak and Mr Guru were chargesheeted along with others under Prevention of Corruption Act for alleged financial irregularities in the matter of printing of question papers and mark sheets and allowing excess payment to private printers and Computer firms causing loss to the Government.

It said on completion of investigation as prima facie evidence was well established against the former Vice-Chancellor, former Controller of Examination and Comptroller of Finance Basanta Kumar Mishra besides proprietors of Naveen System Computer Firm, Datatek Computer Firm, Sujata Printing Press and Kalinga Mudrana to stand their trial in the court of law.
