Chandigarh, Oct 24 (UNI) The Dakshin Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) will give 11 KV feeders earning one rupee per unit or less, on contract to franchisees.
A spokesman of DHBVN said here today that the feeders would be given to highest bidding franchisees on contract for two years. The reserve rate of DHBVN would be higher than the Nigam's power purchase cost including cost of delivery at the concerned substation.
More than 100 feeders are such on which the Nigam is not getting even rupee one for delivering electricity. Even the purchase cost of electricity to the Nigam is not being recovered on such feeders, he added.
The decision has been taken in order to improve operational efficiency and quality of service to its consumers and in view to minimise line losses to increase profitability without increasing the rate of tariff, he said.
