Congress to protest BJP's anti-people policies

Jaipur, Oct 24 (UNI) The Rajasthan Congress unit will stage protests, demonstrations and sit-ins from November 14-18 against the ruling BJP's "anti-people" policies.

State Congress president Dr B D Kalla said all block-level Congress committees will participate in the protest.

The Congress says the state government has not provided adequate relief to the flood and drought-hit areas. It has also not opened any help centres for animals. The party says the state government is totally ignorant of the fact that 12 districts in the state have been majorly hit by floods while 14 districts have received scanty rainfall this season.

Dr Kalla said the state is also reeling under seasonal diseases including dengue, chikunguniya and malaria but the BJP has not been able to provide any relief to 20 lakh families affected so far.
