BSF intensifies search operations in Ganganganagar
Jaisalmer, Oct 24 (UNI) The Border Security Forces intensified their search operations today following the infiltration attempt near the international border near Sriganganagar.
Yesterday, BSF jawans shot dead an infiltrator climbing over the fencing on the borders into the Indian territory. A few days ago, three other infiltrators were gunned down by Indian security forces in an encounter on the Ganganagar borders.
The rising cases of inifiltration have become a matter of concern for the security forces. Sources say that Bahawalpur in Pakistan's Punjab province is across the international borders of Ganganagar.
Bawahalpur is said to be stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammad terrorist outfit's Maulana Azhar Masud. A number of terrorist training camps are currently supposed to be on in the area.
Bawahalpur is also supposed to be core area for Lashkar-e-Toiba's commander Ajam Cheema. Intelligence agencies say the increase in infiltration attempts may be because of these factors.
