BSEL JV to build 6 malls for Nagpur civic body at Rs 545 cr.

Mumbai, Oct 24 (UNI) In a rare business deal by a civic body, Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) has picked up Mumbai-based JV of two infrastructure leaders to build six malls at a total cost of Rs 545 crores.

The JV of BSEL Infrastructure Realty Limited and Unity Infraprojects Limited emerged the highest bidder in the tender floated by NMC.

The malls will have a gross built up area of 2.7 million square feet BSEL is already building the BSEL-Buty Palace in Nagpur. Its other ongoing project, the BSEL-Narmada Nihar in Gujarat, will be a prime budget hotel with service apartments. Further, the company has plans for mixed use development of property in Dubai through its Wholly Owned Subsidiary-'BSEL Infrastructure Realty FZE'.

BSEL Infrastructure Realty Ltd is a infrastructure and construction company in Maharashtra and Gujarat. Set up in 1995, the company was known as Bell South Enterprises Ltd. In 1998, it was renamed as BSEL Information System Limited and provided IT services to global clients. In 2003, the company was renamed BSEL Infrastructure Realty Limited to include various infrastructure development activities in its manifesto.

It has completed projects that include 300,000 sq ft state-of-the-art BSEL Tech Park near Vashi railway station and the Hilton Center office complex at CBD Belapur with 22,000 sq ft of office space.

The Company has also leased out 80,000 sq ft in the International Infotech Park (IIP) at Vashi station.
