British Tornado jet crashes in Lincolnshire

LONDON, Oct 24 (Reuters) A Royal Air Force Tornado fighter jet crashed in Lincolnshire today, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) said.

''We can confirm that a Tornado has crashed on the Holbeach range near the Wash,'' an MoD spokeswoman said. ''Two parachutes were seen to be descending and search and rescue assets are on their way.'' Reuters BDP GC1657
