BJP warns of irregularities in civic polls

Written by: Staff

Pratapgarh, Oct 24 (UNI) The BJP today warned of large scale irregularities in the forthcoming Uttar Pradesh civic elections by the ruling Samajwadi Party.

Talking to mediapersons, party's state unit chief Keshri Nath Tripathi slammed the Samajwadi Party-led UP government for misusing power.

''The SP is continuously violating the Election Commission rules and regulations, while several complaints of party workers threatening people to vote in favour of SP are coming to light,'' he alleged.

He further claimed Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was encouraging terrorism by blindly supporting the Students' Islamic Movement of India (SIMI).
