A K Antony sworn in Cabinet Minister in ministry expansion

New Delhi, Oct 24 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh today expanded his Council of Minister by inducting veteran Congress leader A K Antony as a Cabinet Minister and Mr Jay Prakash Narayan Yadav (RJD) and Mr M H Ambareesh (Congress) as Ministers of State.

The new ministers were administered the oath of office and secrecy by President APJ Abdul Kalam at a brief ceremony at the Ashoka Hall of Rashtrapati Bhavan.

The Prime Minister, UPA chairperson Sonia Gandhi, former prime minister I K Gujral and senior Cabinet ministers and civil and military officials were present at the function.
