Congress President Sonia Gandhi to tour Latur on October 29

Mumbai, Oct 22 (UNI) Congress President Sonia Gandhi will be on a day's tour of Latur district on October 29.

She will be accompanied by her son and Congress MP Rahul Gandhi, Congress incharge Margaret Alva and Union Home Minister Shivraj Patil and Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh.

Incidentally, Latur is the home district of both Mr Patil and Mr Deshmukh.

A release issued by Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee said that Ms Gandhi will attend a meeting of the party workers of Marathwada region at 1100 hrs and will address a rally of farmers at 1530 hrs. Both the programmes will be organised at Chakur in Latur district. Chakur is the native place of Mr Patil.
