NBCC bags Rs 210 cr projecgts from UD and UEPA ministries
Aizawl, Oct 20 (UNI) The Urban Development (UD) and Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation (UEPA) Ministries have entrusted National Building Construction Corporation (NBCC) with developing nine new projects across Mizoram at the cost of Rs 210 crore here.
NBCC official sources here today informed that the projects on the completion stage, under UD, which included administrative training institute building, new capital complex, the bus terminus at Thuampui -- all in the capital town, and a shopping complex at Kolasib district.
The works, recently started by the NBCC, include the truck terminus Rangvamual, improvement of Aizawl roads and UEPA works in southern and northern Mizoram.
The project of mini sports complex at Chite is expected to start before March for which first installment of funds had been sanctioned and released.
Upgradation of slums within eight district headquarters of Mizoram and a new market complex at Champhai district would be completed within this month.
The NBCC team, headed by Neena Garg, recently held discussions on UD and UEPA with state Chief Secretary Haukum Hauzel and state officials, the NBCC sources added.
