Mizoram school mauls Guj school 16-0 in Nehru Sub-Junior Boys hockey
New Delhi, Oct 20 (UNI) Thenzawal Higher Secondary School, Mizoram, pumped in eight goals in each session as they mauled Don Bosco High School, Chhotaudepur (Gujarat) 16-0 in the 24th ONGC-Nehru Sub-Junior Hockey Tournament here today.
In other matches, a 26th minute goal by Inderjit Singh helped Baba Gurmukh Singh Uttam Singh Senior Secondary School, Amritsar scrap past Don Bosco School, Mumbai 1-0 while Government Excellence School, Jabalpur and St Anthony High School, Goa played out a dull and drab goalless draw.
In a completely one-sided affair, Ramluahpuia had the lions share of Mizoram school goals scoring in the third, 19th, 14th, 40th, 46th and 56th minutes. Lalruatfela Zote (20th, 42nd, 45th), Lalthansanga (8th, 24th), Vanlalhriatpuia (36th, 45th), Lalruatfela (10th), Lalremruata (13th) and Lalmuansanga (56th) were the other scorers for the winners.
The Mizoram school had beaten Baruipur High School, West Bengal 11-0 yesterday with Ramluahpuia scoring three goals.
