Governor, CM extend warm greetins on eve of Diwali festival
Panaji, Oct 20 (UNI) Goa governor S C Jamir and Chief minister Pratapsingh Rane have today extended greetings to the people of the island state on the eve of Diwali- the festival of lights.
The Governor, in his message, wished the festival would bring people closer together in making life richer with happiness and prosperity. Celebration of such festivals help promote human relationships and strengthen national cohesion, he added.
The Chief Minister, in a separate message, said the festival ushers in more sparkles of hope and scintilations of joy to fill the lives of the people with brightness and prosperity.
Meanwhile, BJP opposition leader and former Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar wished the festival will bring ''profound joy, happiness, health and prosperity to all''.
