NFL presents Dividend Cheque of Rs 39.78 crore to Govt
New Delhi, Oct 19 (UNI) Nitrogenous fertiliser major National Fertilisers Ltd (NFL) today presented a dividend cheque of Rs 39.78 crore to the Government for the year 2005-06 in respect of shares held by it.
Mr G S Mangat, Chairman and Managing Director, NFL presented the Dividend Cheque to Union Minister for Chemicals, Fertilisers and Steel Ram Vilas Paswan at his office.
The company has registered a net profit of Rs 116.16 crore during the year. It produced 33.33 lakh MT of urea by recording a capacity utilisation of 103.5 per cent.
NFL, the second largest producer of urea in the country with 17 per cent market share, is a Schedule 'A' Mini Ratna Category-I PSU and has consistently been making profits since inception in 1974.
It has paid a cumulative dividend of Rs 756.39 crore to the Government till date against paid up equity of Rs 490.58 crore.
NFL's total business is covered under ISO-9000:2000 certification.
During the first two quarters of the current financial year, the company has registered a profit before tax (PBT) of Rs 76.40 crore with a capacity utilisation of 103.2 per cent.
