Hema asked to reply by Oct 21 on breach of contract case in Kota

Jaipur, Oct 19 (UNI) Film star Hema Malini was asked to file her reply by October 21 to a case pertaining to breach of contract and non-repayment of advance by a permanent Lok Adalat in Kota.

The court gave the direction on a writ petition filed by a former corporator of Kota Municipal Council. According to the writ, Kota Municipal Corporation had reached a contract for Rs.2.56 lakh with Hema Malini for performing a dance programme on the occasion of the Dussehra Mela organised in 1997.

Hema Malini was given Rs 50,000 as advance payment. But Hema neither turned up on October 29 nor returned the money paid as advance.

Former Congress corporator Suresh Gujjar has filed the writ against Hema Malini, her secretary, the mayor, collector and the commissioner of the corporation.

Mr Gujjar alleged that Hema being a BJP MP and a star campaigner of the party, the BJP controlled board has not been taking interest in the recovery of the advance amount.
