SIA-ICICI Lombard tie up to provide travel insurance

New Delhi, Oct 18 (UNI) Singapore Airlines (SIA) has joined hands with ICICI Lombard for providing travel insurance to its passengers.

The tie-up will enable passengers having a valid ticket of SIA to avail of the travel insurance at a special discount of 10 per cent.

The offer is valid from November 1 to February 28 next year.

The offer pertains to SIA passengers traveling to Australia and New Zealand via any of the eight Singapore Airlines gateways in India -- Amritsar, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Mumbai.

Passengers can avail the offer through ICICI Lombard directly or through SIA appointed travel agents, said Mr Foo ChaiWoo, general manager for airline's India operations.

The travel insurance will cover the passenger not only for medical emergency but also 15 other things including contingencies like baggage and passport loss, financial emergencies, trip cancellations, trip interruption, missed connections and even the home insurance. The product pricing would vary depending upon the plan opted by the passenger.
