A Majumder, new Deputy Chairman of KoPT

Kolkata, Oct 18 (UNI) A Majumdar, an IAS officer of 1985 batch of UT Cadre, has taken over charge as Deputy Chairman of Kolkata Port Trust from October 16, 2006.

Mr Majumdar was Secretary, Social Welfare under Government of Delhi before joining Kolkata Port Trust Headquarters as Deputy Chairman.

As a member of Indian Administrative Officer, Mr Majumdar has served in Arunachal Pradesh, Andaman&Nicobar Islands, Mizoram and Delhi in various capacities. He was CMD of Delhi Transport Corporation.
