South Indian Bank Q2 net jumps 383 pc to Rs 41.65 crore
Mumbai, Oct 17 (UNI) South Indian Bank has posted a healthy growth of 382.6 per cent on its net profit to Rs 41.65 crore for the quarter ended September 30 this year as compared to Rs 8.63 crore for the similar quarter of the previous fiscal.
Announcing the results, the company said its total income has increased by 39.13 per cent to Rs 273.09 crore for the quarter ended September 30 from Rs 196.27 crore in the corresponding quarter last year.
EPS increased to Rs 5.92 in the Sep'06 quarter as against Rs 1.81 in the corresponding quarter last year.
For FY 2005-06, the company had posted a net profit of Rs 50.9 crore as against Rs 8.7 crore in the previous fiscal year. Total income rose to Rs 833.59 crore in 2005-06 fiscal as compared to Rs 811.38 crore in the previous year.
