SGNP, Shahabad to meet Blooming Dales, Hissar in Nehru Hockey final

New Delhi, Oct 17 (UNI) SGNP Girls High School, Shahabad and Blooming Dales School, Hissar won their semifinal matches to set up an all-Haryana clash in the final of the 13th Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament here today.

In the first semifinal match, Ritu Rani came up with a sparkling double hat-trick as SGNP girls bulldozed Thenzawal Higher secondary School, Thenzawl (Mizoram) 8-2, after leading 4-1 at half time.

After Monika opened the account for the winners, there was no let up as Ritu ran through the Mizo defence and pumped in six goals. For the losers, Lalhminghlui's brace was was saving grace.

In the second semifinal, Blooming Dales also had little problem in taming Government Girls High School, Ranchi 3-1 to reach the final.

Anupriya struck a brace for the winner while Poonam chipped in with one more, while Emrencia Soy Murum reduced the margin for the Jharkhand school.
