HC directs CBI to produce records of SSLC leakage case
Kochi, Oct 17 (UNI) Kerala High Court today directed the CBI to produce all the records relating to the SSLC question paper leakage case before the court.
Justice J M James gave this direction verbally to the CBI counsel while adjourning till Thursday the anticipatory bail application of former Additional Director of Public Instruction M Gopalan.
Mr Gopalan's counsel contended that he had no role to play either in the leakage of the question paper or in the selection of the agency for awarding the contract to print the question papers between 2002-05.
Opposing the plea, the CBI counsel submitted that as per the statement of the co-accused, Mr Gopalan also was involved in the conspiracy and he was the chairman of the committee awarding the contract and had negotiated with the accused Rajan Chacko, who was given the printing contract.
