Five day Film festival comes to an end
Bhubaneswar, Oct 17 (UNI) The five day Royal Challenge Bhubaneswar Film Festival came to a nostalgic conclusion today with the screening of national and international award winning film maker Nirod Mohapatra's Oriya film ''Maya Miriga''.
The festival inaugurated by noted Assamese film maker Jahnu Barua had screened as many as 19 Asian and classics films including Mr Barua's award winning films-''Maine Gandhi ko Nahi Mara''and Hkhgoroloi Bahu Door''.
The festival also screened four acclaimed classics world cinema made almost 50 years back which had stood the test of time and had marked the history of cinema with their continuing influence and relevance.
The Film Society of Bhubaneswar(FSB) announced its plan to hold at least 15 workshops on film appreciation and special screening for the school students and under privileged children, besides the youths and educational institutions.
Special screening would also be held in smaller towns and villages, FSB sources said.
