Uddhav Thackeray to lay foundation stone of Satabdi hospital

Mumbai, Oct 16 (UNI) Shiv Sena Executive President Uddhav Thackeray will lay the foundation stone for the civic-run Satabdi Hospital, which is being reconstructed, here tomorrow.

Addressing the mediapersons here today, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mayor Datta Dalvi said the estimated cost for reconstruction of the hospital would be approximately Rs 60 crore, including purchase of latest equipment to provide maximum medical facilties to citizens of western suburbs.

The hospital would comprise 125 beds in general wards in a four storeyed building. Apart from that, there would be an Incentive Care Unit (ICU) for children and patients suffering from heart aliaments.

The contruction of the building would be completed within 30 months and it would become operational thereafter, he informed.

The Corporation has plans to develope other civic-run hospitals such as Rajawadi and Cooper.
