South West monsoon withdraws from most parts of AP

Hyderabad, Oct 16 (UNI) South West Monsoon has further withdrawn from the remaining parts of Telangana and some parts of Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema.

The withdrawal line of the monsoon passed through Kakinada and Anantapur in the state, the Met office said.

Isolated rain took place over coastal Andhra Pradesh in the last 24 hours and Dry weather prevailed over Telangana and Rayalaseema.

Isolated rain/thundershowers were likely over coastal Andhra Pradesh in the next 48 hours while mainly dry weather was expected to prevail over Telangana and Rayalaseema.

The capital would experience partly cloudy skies. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 33 and 21 degree Celsius respectively.

The total rainfall recorded in Narsapur was 3 cm, Chintapalli(3cm), Nuzvid (3cm) and Koyyalagudem, Polavaram 2cm each.

Maximum temperatures changed little in the last 24 hours. They were above normal over Rayalaseema and at a few places over coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. The highest maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius was recorded in Kadapa.

Minimum temperatures too changed little over the state. They were above normal at a few places over Telangana and Rayalaseema and at one or two places over coastal Andhra Pradesh. The lowest minimum temperature of 19 degree Celsius was recorded at Arogyavaram.
