RSAMB and Israel firm sign MoU for agro-industrial centre

Jaipur, Oct 16 (UNI) Rajasthan State Agriculture Marketing Board (RSAMB) and Israel's Naan Dan-Agro Pro Ltd today signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for setting up of an agro-industrial centre at Bassi in Jaipur district.

Under the agreement, Agro-Pro will submit a detailed project report (DPR) within 60 days at a cost of 30,000 dollars elaborating the details for the establishment of an agro-industrial development centre.

The report will cover R&D on crop production, details of the recommended practices, pre and post harvest management agro-industrial activities, demonstration and training centre where modern agriculture and industrial practices will be developed and demostrated to farmers including plans for vegetables and cut flower production in protective structure and open fields, production of seedling and planting materials. As per the MoU, RASMB will have the ownership of the technology so transfered by the Agro-Pro to be used exclusively and only for RSAMB. Agro-Pro will also provide know-how of technology developed to RSAMB through its R&D over a period of next three years based on a contract both parties will sign in future.
