JD(U) alleges misrule in UP
Sultanpur, Oct 16 (UNI) Janata Dal (United) today said instead of 'uttam' pradesh, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav was turning the state into a ''jungle pradesh.'' Former Union Minister Sharad Yadav urged people to wipe out the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) and the ruling Samajwadi Party in the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections.
Mr Yadav alleged that the Samajwadi Party supremo was only interested in providing undue profit to big industrialists and was not concerned about the grievances of farmers.
He added, '' the UP government is dancing to the tunes of big industrialists and mafias.'' Expressing concern over the 'dismal' law and order problem in UP, Mr Yadav said the people of the state lack basic amenities including water and electricity.
''The present government has utterly failed on all aspects and has done nothing during the last three years of its reign.'' he claimed.
Slamming the BSP, he said tickets are on sale in the party-- the more you pay, the better ticket you would get.
Later, addressing a jan chetna rally in Seetapur district, he added ''UP is plagued by a number of problems including unemployment and poverty. A time has now come, when people of the country should come forward and make JD(U) win the next assembly elections due early next year.'' ''At present, JD(U) is the right potion for the people.'' he said.
