Jaya threatens legal action against Karunanidhi

Chennai, Oct 16 (UNI) All India Anna DMK (AIADMK) General Secretary and former Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa today threatened to initiate legal action against Chief Minister M Karunanidhi and senior DMK leaders for charging her with instigating violence in the local body elections.

In a statement here, she alleged that the ruling DMK, after unleashing an unprecedented violence in the just concluded civic elections, was trying to shift the blame on her.

Like Mr Karunanidhi, senior DMK leaders K Anbazhagan and Arcot N Veerasamy had also launched a disinformation campaign, holding her responsible for all the violent incidents, she said adding ''I am contemplating to file cases against those who spread such canard.'' UNI WS AJ VD VV2158
