Blooming Dales, Hissar sail into Nehru Hockey semis

New Delhi, Oct 16 (UNI) Blooming Dales School, Hissar (Haryana) toyed with defending champion Birsa Munda Vidyapitha, Rourkela, before blanking them 6-0 to storm into the semifinal of the 13th Nehru Girls Hockey Tournament here today.

It was a stunning show by the Hissar girls who pumped in three goals in each half to upset the defending champions.

Ruchika struck thrice, while Ambika, Vijaya and Poonam Rani chipped in with one goal each to complete the humiliation.

In the semifinals tomorrow, SGNP Girls Secondary School, Shahabad meets Thenzawl Higher Secondary School, Mizoram and Government Girls High School, Jharkhand take on Blooming Dales.
