Team India fans to ride Blue Billion Express to cheer Men in Blue
New Delhi, Oct 14 (UNI) Hundreds of cricket-crazy fans will board the Blue Billion Express tomorrow morning and head to Jaipur to cheer Team India as it takes on England in it's opening encounter of the ICC Champions Trophy.
Accompanying them on their mission to act as cheerleaders for the Indian cricket team will be Bollywood actor Priyanka Chopra. The former Miss World and 100 cricket fans selected by Pepsi as part of the promotional contest for the ICC Champions Trophy will cheer the Indian team at the Sawai Mansingh cricket stadium at Jaipur, where the India-England Match will be played.
Flagging off the Blue Billion Express from Safdarjang Station at 0700 Hours tomorrow morning will be done by Mr. Rajeev Bakshi, Chairman, PepsiCo India and Bollywood heartthrob and Pepsi brand ambassador Shah Rukh Khan.
Sources in the Pepsico, one of the four global partners sponsoring the cricketing events for the ICC Cricket World Cup 2007 in the West Indies, said the Blue Billion Express commemorates Pepsi's efforts to create a community of a billion cricket fans who desire for only one thing -- the Indian cricket team's victory! The 100 winners of Pepsi's consumer promotion will get to meet their favorite film stars in the train, participate in exciting games and contests and also catch a glimpse of the specially created cricket museum, inside the train.
The museum, demonstrating Pepsi's association with cricket, will showcase exclusive cricket memorabilia such as the ICC Champion's trophy and a cricket bat that belongs to India 's favorite cricketer -- Sachin Tendulkar.
