Unidentified persons steal diamonds worth Rs 1.15 cr in Surat

Surat, Oct 13 (UNI) Some unidentified persons have stolen 46 pieces of polished 129 carat diamonds worth Rs 1.15 crore from a diamond cutting and polishing unit at Nanpura area in the city.

Police today said the owners of the J B Brothers, in a complaint yesterday, said they had kept the diamonds in a safe deposit vault, which was found broken and the packets containing diamonds were stolen.

Further investigations are on, police added.
