Padamaraja Vidyalaya, NCC Punjab qualify for Nehru knock out stage

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Shashi Kala Kumari slammed five goals as Padmaraja Vidyalaya, Gwalior thrashed Government Adarash School, Durg (Chhattisgarh) 10-0, while NCC Punjab downed G V Raja School Trivandrum 3-0 to qualify for the knock-out phase of the 13th Nehru Girls Hockey tournament here today.

In a one-sided match, the Gwalior team led 3-0 at half time against the Durg school. Apart from Shashi's five goals, other scorers were Jamila Bano (2), Mamta Yadav, K Aruna Devi and Archana Shrivastava.

In the second match of the day, Nehal Kaur scored a fine hat-trick to power NCC Punjab to a 3-0 win over G V Raja School, Trivandrum.

The winners led 2-0 at the breather.
