Minister reviews arrangements for Chhat Pooja in Delhi

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) Delhi Development Minister Raj Kumar Chauhan today reviewed the arrangements for the upcoming Chhat Pooja in the city.

Chairing a meeting, the minister instructed the officers concerned from Delhi Police, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi and the Delhi government to take all possible measures to ensure that the festival could be celebrated without a hitch.

The police would make all necessary security arrangements at sites with special arrangements at Kudasiya Ghat and Bhalaswa Lake as maximum number of people were expected to gather there for the pooja. It would also ensure that no firecrackers were used at the ghats to avoid any unforeseen situation arising due to panic and stampede.

Traffic Police, Delhi Jal Board, Irrigation and Flood Control Department, MCD, Slum and JJ Department, CATS ambulance, Revenue Department, Delhi Fire Services and Delhi Health Service had also been directed to ensure the services are mase available to the Public well in time when needed.
