Srinagar, Oct 13 (UNI) The Jammu and Kashmir government has enhanced the pension for freedom fighters, an official spokesman said today.

The pension for a living freedom fighter has been enhanced to Rs 1500 per month from Rs 750, he added.

The spokesman said the pension for widows has been increased to Rs 900 per month from Rs 450.

Similarly, he said the pension for unmarried daughters of freedom fighters has been enhanced to Rs 600 per month from Rs 300.
