Experts stress the importance of exports
Jaipur, Oct 13 (UNI): 'Exports act a vital part in the development of any state and it can be an effective instrument of economic growth , employment generation and poverty alleviation' said Chief Commissioner Central Excise and Service tax S C Mathur while addressing a seminar on Export Management organised by the CII here today.
He said the government of India provides many incentives to the exporters and asked them to take full advantage of the schemes but cautioned against the misuse of export incentives. Mr Mathur said the issue of exception of purchase tax and entry tax to the domestic units exporting more than fifty per cent of their produce would be looked into.
Speaking on the occassion Commissioner Industries Rajasthan Usha Sharma elaborated the various incentives and schemes offered to the exporters reaffirmed the governments commitment to give a boost to exports from Rajasthan which is at present 2.1 per cent of the national exports.
