Dharwad records lowest temperature of 18.5 deg Celsius

Bangalore, Sep 13 (UNI) Following is a summary of observeration recorded here at 0830 hours today.

The Southwest Monsoon has been withdrawn from Bidar and Gulbarga districts of North Interior Karnataka. Monsoon was weak over the State. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Coastal Karnataka and dry weather prevailed over Interior Karnataka.

Maximum temperatures changed little over the State. They were appreciably above normal at many places over Coastal Karnataka.

They were above normal at most places being appreciably so at a few places over South Interior Karnataka and were above normal most places over North Interior Karnataka. Minimum temperatures changed little over the State and were normal over the State.

Bellary recorded the highest maximum temperature of 35.1 deg.

Celsius and Dharwad recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 18.5 deg. Celsius over the State.

Forecast valid until Sunday morning : Rain/thundershowers likely to occur at isolated places over the State.

Farmers forecast : Light to moderate rain likely to occur at isolated places over Kolar, Mysore, Mandya and Chamarajnagara districts of South Interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over all the districts of Coastal Karnataka and North Interior Karnataka.

Local forecast : Partly cloudy. Thundery conditions may develop towards evening/night. Maximum and minimum temperatures would be around 31 degree Celsius and 19 degree Celsius respectively.
