DD to show Patwardhan's anti-nuclear documentary on Oct 15

Mumbai, Oct 13 (UNI) Hard on the heels of the telecast of ''Father, Son and Holy War'' on Doordarshan last Sunday, DD National is set to telecast Anand Patwardhan's anti-nuclear documentary ''War and Peace'' on October 15.

The 163-minute anti-nuclear documentary had won the best film/video award at the Mumbai International Film Festival in February 2002.

In 2004, the film won a National award for the Best Non-feature film. It was then submitted for telecast on Doordarshan. On five previous occasions, the courts have ordered Doordarshan to show Anand's national award winning films.

On October 8, DD complied with the order and will telecast the film on October 15 at 1030 hrs.
