CPI(Maoist) calls for bandh in Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa
Gaya, Oct 13 (UNI) The CPI(Maoist) has called a 24-hour bandh tomorrow in Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa in protest against the arrest of three of their activists recently.
A release of the organisation said Orissa and Jharkhand Police had arrested one female activist, Sheela Devi from Ramjori village in Sundergarh district in Orissa on October 7 and she was sent to Rourkela along with two other activists.
In Rourkela, all the three actvists were being tortured by the police, the CPI(Maoist) alleged.
Meanwhile, Maoists had advised people not to board trains, bus as or other vehicles for movements from one place to another place during the bandh.
