Amar invites IT industry to invest in UP

New Delhi, Oct 13 (UNI) MP and Chairman UP Development Corporation Amar Singh today called upon the IT industry to invest in the state to take it forward through increased access to information and knowledge.

He said though Uttar Pradesh was a late beginner in the use of and expansion of IT, the results obtained so far were surprising.

''Introduction of e-governance was one of the priorities of the state government and the launch of Lokvani scheme in Sitapur was a beginning in that direction,'' he said.

Mr Singh was speaking at the National Conference on Improving Outcomes held under the auspices of Skoch India@Work Summit here.

On this occasion, he announced the venture capital scheme was in the pipeline and the search for perspective investors, who could invest in the state.
