Biggest audi in memory of JP
Lucknow, Oct 12: After Indira Gandhi Pratishthan, Lohia centre and Ambedkar memorial library, the Uttar Pradesh government would now set up Jai Prakash Narain International Centre in the state capital.
Announcing the project costing around Rs 200 crore in the Gomti Nagar area, chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav here today said his government would like to honour great socialist leaders.
He said the JP Narain international centre would be equipped with country's biggest auditorium with a capacity of 3500 seats.
The CM was speaking at a function organised to mark the 38th death anniversary of socialist leader Ram Mahohar Lohia. He said the proposed centre would be completed within 10 months' time.
Yesterday was the birth anniversary of socialist leader Jai Prakash Narain.
Earlier, former Defence minister and NDA convener George Fernandes urged Mr Yadav to contruct a memorial in memory of JP.
The government had already constructed a mega park and a law institute in the name of Ram Manohar Lohia in the state capital.
